What in the world are we to do?

"Men fainting from fear and the expectation of the things which are coming upon the world; for the powers of the heavens will be shaken." "But when these things begin to take place, straighten up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near" Luke 21:26, 28.

Dear people, you do not have to be the wizard of OZ to recognize these things are "beginning to come to pass" today. What are we to do? Let me name a few from the Bible that we are told to do.

1. "Occupy til I come"
"So He said, "A nobleman went to a distant country to receive a kingdom for himself, and then return. "And he called ten of his slaves, and gave them ten minas and said to them, 'Do business with this until I come back" Luke 19:12, 13. Get busy! "Why stand ye gazing up into heaven?" Acts 1:11. "Occupy," put to use what God has trusted you with. You MUST!

2. Win the lost
"Keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life. And have mercy on some, who are doubting..." Jude 21-22.

Look what God did
This past week I had the joy of preaching at a men's retreat. On the way home we stopped at a shopping mall. Two ladies were standing at a counter just talking. Graciously I offered each of them a tract and asked if they knew for sure they were going to heaven. Neither did. Taking my gospel cube from my pocket, I presented the gospel, how Christ died for our sins and rose again, to them. It was so beautiful to see God open the eyes of their understanding. They prayed out loud with me to receive the Lord Jesus as their savior. "The harvest is plenty" Matt. 9:37. Get in on it!

Confess with your mouth
One of the men from the retreat was stand near and watching what was happening. I called him over and asked these ladies to tell him what they had just done. "I just got saved" they both confessed. Their faces were beaming with joy. That is what it is all about. "There is joy in heaven" Luke 15:7. "I have no greater joy" 3 John 4.

God trusted you with the gospel Oh dear people, we can't personally change the world but we can see God change one eternal soul so they go to heaven instead of hell. "Occupy till He comes."

Prayer:  Father, You are so wonderful and awesome to let us in on such eternal things. Help us to "redeem the times" and get in on people going to heaven instead of hell. In Jesus name.

And I love you, all because the Lord Jesus suffered and died for our sins, paid our debt in full and rose again so we can be forgiven and go to heaven, sumner. Do you believe in that alone for your salvation? Believe and pray to receive Him as your Savior right now. "He that has the Son, has life"
