One person at your door is the best fishing hole!

Usually if someone is at our front door, I will have a tract in my "tract rack" (my shirt pocket) or in my hand. We also have a stack of tracts at the door. You see, we must PLAN on giving the gospel to everyone who comes to our door. Make sense?

After the business is taking care of, graciously hand them a tract and say, "May I give you something really good to read. You will like that" Alone like that I usually add, "This just tells you how to know for sure you are going to heaven." Pause and wait for a response. Very often, when they see "Your Ticket to Heaven" they will say, "Oh my, I need that." A perfect opening to say, "We all do. We are all in the same boat, we have all done something wrong, we have all sinned, haven't we?" So help me I have never had someone not admit they too have sinned when I put myself in "the same boat".

NEVER start out saying. "the first thing you need to know is you are sinner", "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God." Now you have put them on the defensive, you have offended them for they take it you are saying they have sinned but not you. Please remember this and always use it. "We are all in the same boat, we have all done wrong, we have all sinned, haven't we?." Most of the time the unsaved people think when you say sinned, you mean murder or raped someone and they have not done that so will not feel convicted. Putting yourself in the "same boat" they do not feel you are accusing or attacking them. Don't worry the Holy Spirit will do His part and convict them. You must believe that and depend on Him to do so.

If you had a glass of pure clean fresh water and poured one drop of poison in the glass, the whole glass full would be polluted. You would not drink it," So it is with us, one sin pollutes us and we are unfit for heaven. Now comes the really good and joyful part. Practice this with someone. To be continued Monday. Don't miss it.

"Pray for me, AND YOU, that utterance may be given unto me that I may open my mouth boldly to make known the mystery of the gospel...that I may speak boldly as I ought to speak."  (Ephesians 6:19-20)

What a thrill to hear from many telling how easy it is to give out "Your Ticket to Heaven." It is all of God.  Go to http://www.sumnerwemp.com Steve puts up all new material each month. The health tips both physical and Spiritual are being well received. Please give us your opinion. Do enter the drawing. We have given out about 15 packets of tracts to you people this month, now go "Fishing for men."

Be like Peter and say, "At Thy word, I will" Lk 5:5. Best verse for "Fishers of men" I love YOU, ABC Sumner

"Learn by doing" my high school motto: good way to learn sharing the gospel

By and large, witnessing is "learned by doing. "Practice makes
perfect" is also a good admonition of how to witness.
Two or three couples or six young people who want to get serious about
sharing the gospel ought to practice on each other. Let's start with
giving out tracts. Pair off and one hand the other a tract saying "Let
me or may I give you something good to read. You will like this." Now
switch and the other one hand the tract and say the same thing. Now,
analyze each ones presentation. Notice their facial expressions. Was
their voice cheerful. Did their eyes show sincerity? Did they get into
it. You have to work at it. Make up your mind I am gong to be the best
at it for the glory of the dear Lord.

Now do it again and see if there is a difference. Make it a joyful
time. Think of it as giving someone a tract and they get saved right
here. Seriously, I do that every time I give a tract and so very often
I see it happen. That is the greatest joy you could ever imagine.
Just today, I gave a gruff looking man who was going to get my state
car inspection done. He wasn't rude but said, "Never mind but I don't
want it." What do you do? NOTHING! Jesus said, "Shake the dust off
your feet" In good old English, "leave them alone" The key here in
witnessing, just look for the ones God has prepared. The very next
person may be that one who is wide open and you have the joy of
leading him to Christ. So help me. I have seen that happen hundreds of
time. That is shear ecstasy. Just a few minutes later, in the waiting
room a lady came in smiled and sat down. I smiled back, reached into
my "tract rack" my shirt pocket, pulled out a tract and said "May I
give you something good to read, you will like this." Three more
people came in right then and that put an end to the conversation. You
just trust God that is all He expected you to do. It is by far the
best to speak to people one on one so as not to embarrass them. Wait
until you get to heaven and meet some who got saved through a tract
you gave someone. Well Glory! Love you, ABC Sumner

1 Cor 4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the
excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.

We are commissioned to preach the gospel-GOOD NEWS

We are commissioned to "Preach the gospel" Mk 16:15. What a privilege

This divides the winners from the losers. Satan wont care if you talk about religion, or you church or how wonderful Jesus is to you but he is terrible bothered when you tell how the Lord Jesus suffered and "died for our sins, paid the debt in full, was buried, rose again and seen by hundreds" 1 Cor 15:1-4. for this "full" gospel is the "power of God unto salvation" to everyone who hears and believes this to get them to heaven. Rom 1:16.

Please be discerning but not divisive. Read tracts, listen to sermons and it will shock you how the gospel is not presented clearly, completely and Biblically. The gospel is not that Christ died on a cross, those two thieves died on a cross. It is not that Christ died for us, those dear military people are dying for us. The gospel, the good news is that Christ DIED FOR OUR SINS. That is the whole problem, we are all in he same boat, we had all sinned and the wages of sin is death. He paid the debt in full. He was buried for three days, proof He was dead. He rose again and was seen by hundreds of people, proof that He was alive. You cannot stress this too much. It must be said over and over for people to catch on.

It is so important that we really believe we have good news, the best news ever, to tell people. If you were in your bank and the manager asked, "Isn't Bill next door to you a good friend?" You would reply, "He is my best friend." The banker then said, "He just inherited a million dollars. Would you go tell him the good news?" You would not say, "Awe that is a personal matter, I don't want to butt into his personal affairs." Like some fun. You would run like mad and holler out, "Bill, I have some good news. You just inherited a million dollars." We must look at witnessing in the same way. I am passionate about having the best news anyone ever heard. People will catch this when you have the same attitude about witnessing. It makes a world of difference.

4:3 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:
4:4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.
4:7 But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us. I LOVE YOU, ABC
