What is your passion for 09?

What is your passion in life?

Here is mine in 2009

"But we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord" 2 Cor. 3:18

1, That I will behold the glory of the Lord in the word of the Lord until people do not see Sumner but see some of the glory of the Lord and come to know the Lord of Glory .through the glorious gospel of the Lord of glory.

Do you remember when Moses was on the mount and wanted to see the glory of the Lord. He only got a glimpse but his face did shine with the glory of the Lord. Oh that we all had a passion for the glory of God on our face and in our life. Not a "holier than thou" look but that people will take note "we have been with Jesus." as they did in the book of Acts.

You don't get that reading a verse or two in a five minute "devotion'". As that great song said, "Take time to be holy". May it ever be so. I LOVE YOU. ABC Sumner (Number 2 on Mon)

These things have I written unto you, that your joy might be full

""These things have I written unto you that your joy might be full" 1 Jn 1:4.

Please believe God, He wants your life FILLED with joy. If it isn't it is not God's fault!

What is one of the greatest if not the greatest joy to come about in your home. One of the greatest ever is when each of our children was born. The first time I held each of those beautiful babies, my heart overflowed..When I kissed those soft precious cheeks the warmth and joy burned inside me. Dear people when you see someone born of God right before your eyes, nothing can compare to that joy. If you have ever tasted that joy, how can you not share the gospel with everyone you are around for a few minutes. Hundreds have asked me, how do you keep so fired up. That is how.

The same things go on in a church. Preachers and people who give the gospel to every person and on every occasion they can and see people getting saved will keep that joy flowing and filling them. One of my goals every year is to see at least one person born again every week through sharing the gospel. Make it one of your goals too. You will stay so filled with joy, it will amaze you.

Last week I gave "Your Ticket to Heaven to a cashier in a store. she blurted out, I want that> I want to get saved. Softly, for there was a line of people behind me, I told her to read the tract carefully and if she understood it and meant it, to pray right there to receive the Lord Jesus. She said out loud, "I will do it tonight." I went back and she blurted out, "I did it, I read the tract and prayed the prayer and got saved, and saved she was. That is what we all ought to see regularly for God said, "the harvest is plenteous, just one problem "the laborers are few". I hope you get in on this joy. ABC Sumner

Tomorrow we will have a new president. What we must do.

Tomorrow, we will have a new president, what are you oing to do about it?

Pray for 1. All men. 2. Kings 3. All in authority 1 Tim 2:1-4

Pray that they might be saved.Vs. 4. God is not willing that any should perish" 2 Peter 3:9. We should not either. We should pray for them and preach to them the gospel as much as possible. We must not take any person's salvation for granted. Be he President or plain people. I prayed for President Bush these same things every day.

President Obama needs our prayers and should want them just as I want your prayers and you want the prayers of all people! Whether you voted for President Obama or not, whether you like him or not we MUST pray for him, for us to be in the will of God for God told us to pray for rulers.

His race, being a black man, has nothing to do with it. He is our president and we must pray for him. I hate NO MAN. I love black folks and have some very dear friends who are blacks, Muslims, unsaved, etc.

Pray every day: 1. That they might be saved, 1 Tim 2:4. 2. Pray for wisdom. "For by me Kings reign". Pro. 8:2. "Wisdom is better than rubies and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it" 8:11. 3. "Those in authority"1 Tim 2:2. His cabinet and his advisors around him. Make sense?

Pray for me and Celeste and our health. The Dr. found that Celeste's body was reacting to some medications and change it and she is improving every day PRAISE THE LORD. but still rather weak.. THANKS and I love you. ABC Sumner

I gave a cashier "Your Ticket to Heaven" last week. She blurted out, "I need that" She was very busy so I told her to read it and do what it said from her heart. I went back the next day and she had prayed to receive the Lord Jesus and knew now she was saved! God uses tracts, do YOU?
