Butter up Your Man

A BIG difference between a man and a woman is that men see the over all picture, women notice the little details. That is one reason, most of the time women make better secretaries, for they note the details.

Have you noticed?
Often, Celeste and I notice a husband is telling an incident and will say, "Last Tuesday about 3 o'clock..." His wife interrupts and says, "No, dear it was Monday and it was 2 o'clock." Often you can see the fire in his eyes as he is corrected and embarrassed by his wife. Of course she does not intend to hurt him but she is wired to get the details correct. First of all, what difference does it make whether it was 2 or 3 o'clock. THAT IS A NO NO. Ladies don't do it. It is so common and most men resent it.

What's good for the goose is good for the gander By the way, a husband should not correct his dear wife in front of others either. God says, "Be kind and compassionate to one another" Eph. 4:32. "We all stumble in many ways. If anyone is never at fault in what he says, he is a perfect man, able to keep his whole body in check" James 3:2.

Butter him up
Let's "encourage one another" Heb. 3:13, let's build one another up and not beat one another down. Ladies, admire him, brag on him and he will become your prince in shining armor! By the way, you will become the envy of every man who wishes his wife admired him.

This just fits here again.
"As you go through life you are going to have many opportunities to keep your mouth shut. Take advantage of all of them."  "Even a fool is thought wise if he keeps silent, and discerning if he holds his tongue" Prov 17:28

Prayer:  Father, help our dear wives to build us weak husbands up so we will love them more and pay more attention to them. In Jesus name.

"Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice" Phil 4:4 For, "A cheerful heart is good medicine," "but the cheerful heart has a continual feast," "A happy heart makes the face cheerful " Prov. 17:22; 15:15; 13.
