See what is beyond the veil-The Deposit behind the veil

The Deposit Behind the Veil

Exodus 26:33 tells what was deposited behind the veil: "That thou mayest bring in thither within the veil the ark of the testimony." Tremendous things were there: the Ark of the testimony, which held "the golden pot that had manna, Aaron's rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant: (Heb. 9:4).These objects were testimonies to the true and living God, and the reason this Ark was called "the ark of the testimony."  The manna testified to God's provision in the wilderness, Aaron's rod that budded testified to God's power to bring life from the dead, the tables of the Law testified to God's perfect standard which demanded righteousness for anyone to stand before Him.

Also behind the veil "the glory of the Lord filled the tabernacle"  (Ex. 40:34), because God dwelt above the Mercy Seat between the two cherubim (25:22).

Jesus' flesh was the veil that hid the glory of God from human eyes. Those who looked beyond the veil of His humanity saw more than a mere man. When Jesus asked, "Whom do men say that I the Son of man am?"(Mt. 6:13), Peter looked beyond His flesh and declared, "Thou art the Christ, The Son of the living God" (v 16). Many today make Jesus a great Teacher or Example and do not see Him as He really is--"God" veiled in flesh, and manifest in the flesh. "open thou my eyes" is a cry we should all make with a passion.

15:1. Lord, who shall abide in thy tabernacle? (and see all these great things) who shall dwell in thy holy hill? 2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness, and speaketh the truth in his heart.

The Veil that hid the glory of God.

The Description of the Veil

The description of the veil is in Exodus 26:31: "And thou shalt make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubim shall it be made." Immediately one can see it is the same as the outer court gate (27:16). That gate was a picture of Christ, the blue represented Him in His heavenly character as the Son of God come down from heaven; the purple, the color of royalty, depicted the Lord Jesus as the King of the Jews who one day will be recognized as King of Kings and Lord of lords; the scarlet portrayed Him as the Lamb of God who shed His blood for our sins; and the fine linen of His righteousness

Hebrews 10:19-20 says something particular about this veil; "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh." This veil was a picture of Jesus in His flesh; all this was true of Him from the day He was born--when "God sent forth His Son, made of a woman" (Gal. 4:4).

We have boldness now to enter into the presence of God, into heaven itself, through the veil, that is, through Christ and what He did in the flesh, when He suffered and died for our sins, was buried, rose again and was seen by hundreds. Jesus said, "I am the way" and "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (Jn. 14:6). We go into His presence in prayer now and will go into His presence in person when anyone goes to Him in death or when He comes for us in the clouds! WOW What a future we have.

Prov 3:16 Length of days is in her (wisdom) right hand; and in  her left hand riches and honor. (No wonder we must seek wisdom DAILY)

The Vail in the Tabernacle (New) Great health tip-help me on this

The View at the Veil

"Warning! Do Not Enter!" There was no such sign on the veil, but God had given His instructions. The priests knew that they were not to enter beyond the veil into the Holy of Holies, the very presence of God. Only the high priest was allowed to do so, and then just once a year.

The veil divided the two rooms inside the tabernacle. The first room, called the Holy Place, contained the three pieces of furniture discussed in the previous chapters. The other room was called the "Holiest of All," or "the Holy of Holies." Inside the Holy of Holies was kept the Ark of the Covenant, above which God said He would dwell and commune with the high priest, who represented His people (Ex. 25:22). In the Holy of Holies, the Shekinah glory was to be seen--the manifest presence of God. The veil hid this sight of God, it was the final step into the presence of God. This is the best part of the Tabernacle and is vital and applies to us today.

A big health tip - Being 85, I am vitally interested in being in good health to be a good servant of God.

I have been getting wobbly, poor balance, not dizzy, and fearful of falling and breaking a hip or what ever which so many older people do.

This tip stopped my wobbliness, improved my balance dramatically. and is so easy to do.

The "unipedal standing balance exercise" as the researchers call it is so simple.

Stand on each leg for one minute with your eyes open three times a day. If you need to, hang onto something so you don't fall.

That's why we make all the fuss on weight-bearing exercise. By Sakamoto's calculations, standing on one foot for a minute would have an effect on bone density equivalent to walking 53 minutes.

Repeating this exercise three times a day would have an effect equivalent to taking three almost hour long walks a day. For older people who are not that mobile, unipedal standing may be an interesting option.

It appears to improve balance enough that it decreases spontaneous falls by about a third. Second, it produces mild strain to the bone, in theory decreasing the chance of fracture if the person does fall.

For people who are too frail for rigorous workouts or even walking, unipedal standing offers an alternative "exercise". Even for those of us who do exercise routinely, a few minutes on one foot may still provide added advantage.

I want and need your input. My thought is to put a brief tip on our webiste each month or send it out like this once a month. PLEASE tell me what you think. Do it or not. ABC Sumner Go to www.sumnerwemp.com all new website.
