The tabernacle in its entirety-last message on it

The tabernacle teaches us so much about getting to God, to heaven, and how to enjoy the trip. There was one and only one door. Jesus said, "I am THE door, by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved" Jn 10:10. The first thing you see is the big brass altar where the lambs were slain. Jesus is "the lamb of God that taketh away the sin of the world" Jn 1:29. We must each personally realize our sins were laid on Him, He suffered and died for our sins, was buried, rose again and was seen by hundreds and is the only reason God can forgive us and take us to heaven. Jesus paid it all.

You won't take many steps in the Christian life before you realize you can still sin.

The laver is where you confess your sins and "He is faithful and just to forgive your sins and cleanse you from all unrighteousness" and you are back in fellowship with Him 1 John 1:9. Now you enter into the "Holy Place" into fellowship with God, where you begin to enjoy of the trip. You see the Lampstand and you walk in the light. A picture of walking in the Holy Spirit. You see the shewbread, the "food of the priests" Lev 24:9. Even a brand new baby knows it needs to eat and will wake you up in the middle of the night to be fed. God says, "as new born babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you might grow thereby" 1 Peter 2:2. If you don't you won't enjoy the trip. Then you have the privilege of the incense, praying, talking to almighty God. What an awesome privilege.

Now, the way for us priests to come before God is wide open for the veil has been rent in two. The Lord Jesus suffered and died for our sins, so we can be forgiven and cleansed and come before a Holy God. We can come boldly to the throne of grace to find all the help we need for every need and problem of life.

All of these are pictures of the true tabernacle. Heb 8:1 ff. I hope these pictures will be before you during you journey down here to enjoy the trip. Then, in heaven, to have tons of treasures and trophies to cast at Jesus feet (Rev 4:9-11) for He alone is worthy of all honor and praise. One glorious day, He will receive the honor and praise we should be giving him now but then face to face, we shall behold him and give him the worship and praise to the fullest. I hope you enjoyed the Tabernacle and will enjoy it much more from now on. ABC Sumner

The veil is rent, we have access to the throne of grace.WOW

In the Old Testament, on the Day of Atonement the priest went into the Holy of Holies and sprinkled the blood of the sacrifice on the Mercy Seat. This was to make atonement for the sins of the people for the past year. When Christ died, "by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us" (Heb. 9:12).

"Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us" (9:24).

Not only was Jesus Christ the atonement for our sins, the sin offering and trespass offering, but He was the fulfillment of the whole burnt offering as well. This was the offering which pictured doing God's complete will and fully satisfying a holy God. It was such an offering that God says is a sweet-smelling sacrifice to Him.

Finally, the Mercy Seat is the place of union and communion with God. Man can only meet God on His terms at the blood-sprinkled Mercy Seat. When the sinner comes by faith to the throne of grace and claims Christ's blood to satisfy God for his sins, he will immediately be born of God This brings him into eternal union with God. No longer is he seen as in Adam alone, for now he is in the second Adam, Christ. No longer is he "without God in the world" (Eph 2:12), but his body becomes the "temple of the Holy Ghost" (1 Cor. 6:19).

God also says it is from here that He will commune with men from above the Mercy Seat. The tabernacle had a veil which kept the priest from going into the very presence of God except once a year on the Day of Atonement. Now that the veil has been rent God says we have "boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us through the veil, that is to say, His flesh" (Heb. 10:19-20). God is satisfied, all our sins are paid in full

Propitiation over the Ark

God tells about the Mercy Seat in Exodus 25:17-22. A slab of pure gold, the same length and width as the Ark, was the Ark's cover. Made from the same piece of gold and fashioned at the ends of the Mercy Seat were the cherubim.

God said that between these two  cherubim and above the Mercy Seat is where He would meet and commune with Israel.

          The word for Mercy Seat is the same word translated "propitiation," which means to placate, appease, or make satisfaction. The work of Jesus Christ is seen as the fulfillment of the Mercy Seat;

"My little children these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world" (1 Jn 2:1-2)

Now, God is HOLY. The seraphim cry, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts" (Is. 6:3). Any sin is a heinous offense to God's holiness. Divine justice demands that sin be fully punished, for in no way can an infinite and holy God be generous or lenient toward man in forgiving his sins. The righteous demands of God's Law must be fully met before God can have anything to do with sinful man. However, God's matchless love has provided the one and only way that God can remain just and yet justify the sinner and that is at the Mercy Seat. Christ has satisfied God's every demand for righteousness and the righteous settlement of man's sins. "Christ has once suffered for sins" 1 Peter 3:18. He died for our sins, paid our debt in full, was buried, rose again and was seen by hundreds 1 Cor 15:1-4. He shed His blood to wash away our sins. Christ is the propitiation for our sins. 1 Jn 2:1,2. YOU are loved by god and me, ABC Sumner

Prov.14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

WHAT AN IDEA. "Your ticket to Heaven" is being translated into 12 languages. Six have found Christian printers who will print it for them, some free and some very reasonable. We have found it wont work trying to print them here and ship them to you.

May you see the hand of God upon you Ezra 6-8 and the power of God flow through you Jn 7:38,39 and the glory of God in you 2 Cor 3:18.

Take a few seconds and pray for Darlean. Her husband was on my staff at Liberty U. He just went home to heaven. "Do unto others as you would have them do to you"
