Share the Gospel Today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You would not let me
"How often I wanted to gather your children together...and you were unwilling" Matt. 23:37. Over and over in the prophets, God tells how Israel, who were scattered to the four ends of the earth, shall be gathered together into their land. They did not recognize their Messiah from all the prophecies and "they would not" let Him gather them into the land. What a tragedy.

What an example to us
"Now these things happened to them as an example, and they were written for our instruction, upon whom the ends of the ages have come" 1 Cor. 10:11. When we stand before the judgment seat of Christ, I believe we will hear the dear Lord say, Sumner, (put your name here) how often I wanted to do something big through you and you would not let me. Dear people, we must "understand the times" and we must have ears to hear and hearts to respond.

Unbelief, a terrible sin
"And He did not do many miracles because of their unbelief" Matt 13:58. Someone, I am sure, read the prophecy in Micah 5:2, "But as for you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, Too little to be among the clans of Judah, From you One will go forth for Me to be ruler in Israel." You can't get much plainer than that and they did not believe Him.

Is unbelief, one of your sins
Over the years, I have heard hundreds if not thousands of preachers and people say, "I couldn't witness, I couldn't win souls and I couldn't do this or that. THAT IS UNBELIEF.  Jesus said, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few" Matt. 9:37. Our nation, your nation is going to hell because there are not enough laborers who BELIEVE THE WORD OF GOD and obey God and share the gospel like He commanded us to do Mk 16:15.

O dear people, Jesus is coming. We are going to give an account of how we spread the Gospel which He entrusted into yours and my hands. Stop that unbelief and get the gospel to every person you have a moment of contact  with and see how God has prepared the hearts of those you are sharing with like he did with Philip in Acts 8. My passion is that YOU believe God, witness and win souls to Christ for your good and His glory. Knowing and believing prophecy can transform your life into the most radiant and meaningful life in the world.

Prayer:  Father, You are so wonderful to let us have a part in people going to heaven instead of hell. Help us to believe You and what You are doing today to change people's lives. In Jesus name, and I LOVE YOU, all because of Calvary, sumner

Who are you sharing the Gospel with Today

The time of thy visitation
"If you had known in this day, even you, the things which make for peace! But now they have been hidden from your eyes... because you did not recognize the time of your visitation" Lk. 19:42, 44. There were so many prophesies about the Messiah's coming and Israel ignored them, refused them, rejected their Messiah and have paid an awful price.

"His (Jesus) blood be on us and our children" I pray for "the peace of Jerusalem" Ps. 122:6 , every day, just like the Word of God tells us. I love Israel but oh the sorrow and price they have paid for those terrible words, "His blood be on us and on our children" Matt. 27:25. Simeon knew the Messiah Lk 2:25-33.and the other leaders should have too. They ignored or did not believe the "signs" of the Messiah.

Two applications for us
Remember the two parables of the foolish virgins and the foolish servant in Matt 25? The foolish virgins were not looking for, nor ready for the coming of the bridegroom and the servant who was given money to invest for the master, he too was not ready for his master to come and they both missed much.

Dear people, there is an application for us. We, who are saved, are told to use our gifts, invest for eternity and be ready for the coming of Jesus. MOST Christians don't even know what their gifts are and most are not using their gifts faithfully to win the lost people to Christ. "Follow me and I will make you fishers of men" Matt. 4:19. We could really change the world if we believed and became fishers of men today.

Secondly, Israel, in the time of Christ, did not know "the day of thy visitation" and look what they missed. Most Bible scholars believe we are living the Laodicean days of the church and Jesus is saying to us, "'Behold, I stand at the door and knock; if anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and will dine with him, and he with Me." Rev. 3:20.

YOUR day of visitation
I love you. Is and/or has God, been knocking at the door of your heart? Open you heart and accept Christ as your Lord and Savior if you haven't already and if you have obey His word and share the gospel with those around you everyday. Are you following Jesus and fishing for men? Jesus is coming and we will be caught up to meet Him in the air and then comes the day of for our accountability 2 Cor. 5:10. We all need to get busy sharing this wonderful Gift of Salvation with everyone(don't let anyone miss this gift).   We can do something about it in 2010. 

Prayer:  Father, bless this child of Yours and make them sensitive and responsive to Your visitation to them on a daily basis, In Jesus name.

Read and Study the Bible

O how we need children of Issachar "who understood the times, with knowledge of what Israel should do" 1 Chron. 12:32. There is so much prophecy about the future so we today can understand the times and know what our nations and people ought to do. We must study the Bible.

It is good for troubled hearts. "Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. "In My Father's house are many dwelling places; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. "If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself, that where I am, there you may be also." John 14:1-3. We used to sing the great song, "This world is not my home, I'm just a passing through, my treasure are laid up somewhere beyond the blue." Praise the Lord, He is coming again to take us home to the place He has prepared for us. WOW.

Troubled times
Are you going through a fiery furnace experience. Know that God is drawing you closer to Him and refining and developing you. Jesus is coming again. "Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away" James 4:14. Let not your heart be troubled. "'Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life" Rev. 2:10. If you have read and studied the Bible you know the outcome and therefore do not need to worry about how things are going to end up. 

He holds the future
We may not know what the future holds but we know for sure Who holds the future. Studying prophecy will give you an assurance and peace the world knows nothing about.

Prayer:  Father, give us insight into the future that will transform our lives and the enjoy of life to the fullest. In Jesus name.
