Dispensations in the Bible

The Bible divides time into dispensations.

 

"A dispensation is a period of time during which man is tested in respect of obedience to some specific revelation of the will of God" C. I. Scofield. The test is not to determine his salvation but to show man is a sinner under any rule of life. Salvation is by faith in every dispensation. More on this later.

 

Every believer is a dispensationalist, whether he believes in two or three or seven dispensations. For instance, every believer knows there is a difference in being under law or under grace.

 

Then every believer knows there is a difference in being in innocence, as Adam and Eve before the fall, and then under your conscience after the fall when he ate of "the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." Man failed miserably "letting your conscience be your guide" until God sent the flood for "every intent of his heart was only evil continually" Gen. 6:5. Then man was under human government with only Noah and his family, eight in all. They failed miserably without any bad outside influence until God raised up Moses and gave them the Law. Now we live under grace as the rule of life. When the Lord Jesus comes to rule and reign we will be in the thousand year reign of Christ.

 

Prayer:  Father, bless Your dear people and help us to live under grace as a great testimony to a lost world Matt 5:16.

I am appalled at how little people read, study and know the book of Revelation. It is the only book in the world that has a special blessing promised to those who read it. WOW. We will learn a lot about the book of Revelation as we go along. It will bless you! It is fascinating. It is comforting. It is compelling. It is convicting. It is rewarding.

 

See what Jesus really looks like now! Awesome

 

See the special promises for those who overcome the problems in the church and the problems of live. Fantastic, I want in on it and you will too.

 

See what happens when the church, the bride of Christ, goes up in the rapture. Beautiful

 

See what the unsaved world going through the tribulation looks like. Devastating

 

See the final chapter of life and the wonderful end for believers. Glorious.

 

O dear people, the future up there is worth it all. You MUST be faithful unto death. You MUST use your gifts for Christ. You MUST invest your life in eternity. You MUST win souls to Christ. The gospel is the power of God unto salvation. There is hope for your loved ones and friends to go to heaven if we will obey God and "preach the gospel to every creature."

 

Prayer:  Father, what a day that will be when we are in the presence of you and you son Jesus. We can hardly wait. Use your dear people to make a big difference in this world and in their lives. In Jesus name.  

Prepare for Heavenly Bliss

It does make a difference how you live "Behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to every man according to what he has done" Rev. 22:12. Prophecy tells us that when Jesus comes, those who are born again believers are going to have our works tested by fire and if our works abide, we shall receive a reward, if not we "shall suffer loss." 1 Cor. 3:11-15. My, my. How you live after you are saved will make an eternal difference. There are going to be rewards in heaven. We will give details later as to what they are and how to gain them.

Lay up treasures in heaven
It is staggering how athletes sacrifice and strive to win. Shouldn't you and I do the same as believers? Millions upon millions "sacrifice" hard earned money, and squander money gambling in lotteries and casinos hoping to win. The sad thing is most Christians just are not motivated to win rewards in heaven. Too many are slaves to the daily grind here on earth and not to the sweet by and by in heaven.

You sacrificed
You sacrificed and slaved to get a good education, even went to college, graduate school and many took specialized studies and training to get where you are. I found it pays to plan and prepare ahead. How much more important to plan and prepare for eternity. 

O dear people, you are going to leave all the material things right here. You know that. You can have treasures and trophies in heaven. There are crowns to be gained. "I will put you in charge of many things" Matt. 25:21. Be wise. "Lay up for yourself treasures in heaven" Matt. 6:20.

Prayer:  Father, You are so wonderful. You gave Your Son to suffer and die for our sins so you can forgive us our sins and save us. Then you let us serve you and gain all kinds of eternal rewards in heaven. Help us to be wise and lay treasures in heaven. In Jesus name. He LOVES you and so do I, all because of Calvary, sumner
