Whose righteousness is going to get you to heaven?

"Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is that they might be saved." (We should too. 'Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, they shall prosper that love Thee' [Israel] Ps 122:6.) "For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God but not according to knowledge. For they are ignorant of God's righteousness and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone that believeth" Rom 10:1.

This is powerful and answers many questions for there are multitudes, not only Jews, trying to establish their own righteousness. If you really witness you will see this over and over. Most people are trying to establish their own righteousness but "doing the best they can", "treating their fellowman right", "loving people" trying to keep the ten commandments" or "live by the golden rule".and on and on.

NO. Jesus took our sins and paid the price, He suffered and died for what we did. Now when we receive the Lord Jesus from our hearts, not give our heart to Jesus but receive Him, we receive His righteousness and that gets us to heaven.

Stay tuned to see what we do after we are saved and have His righteousness to get into heaven that brings blessing here and rewards there. This is so important to understand. There are going to be vast differences in rewards in heaven.

Jesus took our sinfulness and we get His righteousness

If someone went to the bank and deposited a million dollars in the bank in your name, would you be a millionaire? Of course you would. You may not earn it or you may not deserve it but you received it as a gift out of someone's heart of love. I have not stressed this but it is so vital to know and understand. When you understand that "God laid on Jesus the iniquity of us all" Isa. 53:6, Jesus suffered and died for your sins, paid the debt in full, was buried, rose again and was seen by hundreds" 1 Cor. 15:1-4, not only are your sins stamped paid in full but your account shows "the rightness of Christ is unto all and upon all them that believe." Rom 1:22, that what Jesus did and not what we do is the ticket to heaven. Make sense? Trust God that it is so because He said so and it makes sense. More to come on this.
