Not only is there a penalty for sin but there is a pollution of sin"

Jesus suffered and died for our sins. They were all in the future. He did not die just for some of our sins but for ALL of our sins. All of the sins before we were saved and all the sins we commit after we are saved as well.. He paid the debt in full. If He did not pay for ALL of our sins then we would have to be perfect after we are saved or we go to hell and pay our deft there ourselves. We do not receive the Lord Jesus for our past sins but for ALL of them. That takes care of the penalty of sin. Make sense?

Jesus shed His blood for the pollution of our sins. Before we were saved we were unclean, unfit for heaven. When we receive the Lord Jesus "we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of his grace" Eph 1:7. The blood of Jesus Christ his son, cleanses from all sin" 1 Jn 1:7. One of the first things I have heard from many who just got saved was, "I feel so clean". Aren't you glad the blood of Christ cleanses from ALL sin. The blood of Christ takes care of the pollution of sin.

The multitude of lambs that were slain in the Old Testament all represent "The lamb of God which taketh away the sin of the world" Jn 1:29. The blood on the door posts of the O. T. represented the blood of Christ, the lamb of God. God said "When I see the blood I will pass over you" Ex 12:13. When we receive the Lord Jesus, the Lamb of God, God sees the blood applied to our heart and He passes over us. No wonder God calls it "So great salvation" Heb 2:3. Rejoice in the Lord and His salvation. ABC Sumner

How shall we escape if we neglect so great salivation" Heb 2:3

Almost daily I get great compliments on our web site. Go to www.sumnerwemp.com and see for yourself. Read and be blessed. "Your Ticket to Heaven" tract, three times today, the response to seeing it was, "O I need that." My response is , "We all do". These were all clerks and that is all I could say at the moment but God will follow up.

The way to confess your sins

We had a man in one church I pastored who always said at the end of his prayer, "And forgive us of our many, many sins. In Jesus name. Amen. No we must specific. No beating around the bush.

1. We must come with the attitude of the prodigal son. " I have sinned...and no more worthy to be called thy son" Lk 15:18,19. That should be the attitude of every believer when he sins. It must be if you really want the peace and joy of forgiveness. It is amazing how we want to dodge the word "sinned" but that is what it is.

2. "I acknowledge my transgressions" Ps 51:3. Here is David's confession. We must not dodge the issue. Confess the sin, name it to the Lord. He knows but wants you to be honest about it.

3. "Against thee and thee only have I sinned". vs. 4. The worst thing about our sin is that it is against God. We must look at it that way.

4. Purge me...and I shall be clean: wash me and I shall be whiter that snow" vs 7 We must believe it and count on it and rejoice in it. We are forgiven. Cleansed. We must not think we have to mourn or do penance for 10 days. NO. we are forgiven and don't let the devil try to make you morbid about it.

5. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation" vs 12. WOW. He wants to and will restore that joy the minute you come clean and confess the sin. Be believe Him, trust Him to do so.

6. Now comes the ultimate purpose of sins being forgiven. "Then will I teach transgressors thy ways and sinners shall be converted unto thee" vs 13. We are not to just sit, soak and sour. God does not forgive us nor leave us here for that. We are left here to give the gospel to "every creature" just as someone told you how Christ died for your sins, paid your debt in full, rose gain, and was seen by hundreds so they can be saved just as you are. Make sense?

7. "Big sins" such as David had should be dealt with , with "a broken spirit, a broken and contrite heart, O God, thou wilt jot despise (reject) vs 17. In the book of Acts, God warns over and over against "fornication". That is a big sin. The world treats it lightly. We must not. Love you, ABC Sumner

Sin breaks fellowship of the believer, not relationship. You can not be unborn.

How else do we make ourselves fit for God to use?

Rule No 1. "If we say we have no sin, we deceive ourselves" 1 Jn 1:8. Well, what do you do? "If we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged" 1 Cor 11:31. You be the judge, guilty or not? Sins of commission or omission, we are all guilty. None of us has read our Bibles enough, prayed enough, witnessed enough.

Rule No 2. "If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins"..1 Jn 1:9. King David committed adultery and murder and went a year carrying the guilt and grief of unconfessed sin. Most of us do the same today. "If I regard sin in my heart, God will not hear me". Multitudes carry guilt and grief today.

Rule No 3. Private sins ought to be confessed privately. A Christian boy went up to a Christian girl and confessed to her that he had lust in his heart for her. That was stupid. It scared her to death. She was petrified every time she saw him. Confess private sin to God alone. Personal sin ought to be confessed personally. You have offended someone and you and they know it. You should go to them and confess it and forsake it. Public sins should be confessed publicly. It was in the news paper, every one knows about it. It should be confessed publicly. It is too bad this is not practiced today.

Rule No 4. "If we do not judge ourselves", you can be sure God will and He "chastens" us (spanks us) "that we should not be condemned with the world." The Lord Jesus has already paid the penalty for our sins. How does He chasten? "For this cause many are weak, many are sickly and many sleep (are dead) 1 Cor 11:30. Prayers are not answered, Where is the fullness of joy among Christians? Where is the "peace that passes understanding?" "Were they ashamed when they had committed abomination? Nay!, they were not ashamed, neither could they blush" Neh 6:15..Multitudes are right there today. What a shame. Almost daily I get emails from Christians who are miserable and empty because of unconfessed sin. Don't miss the next lesson. How to confess sin and have the fullness of joy restored. ABC Sumner

"I am so glad Sue let me in on your emailing's" "You have no idea how the Lord speaks right through those messages and brings victory and power and strength."

I gave "Your Ticket to Heaven" to my Doctor this week. He stopped and said, "I need that. I will read it tonight" I said, just do what it says at the end from your heart." I wont be a bit surprised to see him in heaven. God is using them. Call 1-877-872-2871 and ask for "sales" and get some to give out. The reward in heaven will stagger you.

Pro 3:11,12  "My son, despise not the chastening of the Lord; neither be weary of his correction:. For whom the Lord loveth he correcteth".
