Looking for that Blessed Hope

"For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men, instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Christ Jesus" Titus 2:11-13.

Saved by grace, not works

"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God" Eph. 2:8. In fact, "But to the one who does not work, but believes in Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is credited as righteousness" Rom. 4:5. You see, we are "created (born again) in Christ Jesus FOR good works" (not because of them). Eph 2:10. We are saved by the work of Christ when He died for our sins, paid our debt in full and rose again" 1 Cor. 15:1-4. This gospel, good news, "is the power of God for salvation, to everyone that believes" Rom. 1:16. Salvation is free but it is not cheap, it cost the Lord Jesus His life on the cross for our sins.

Cheap believism?

NO, it is WHAT you believe in that makes the difference. THIS, I AM A FANATIC ABOUT. The gospel, "Christ died for ours, and rose again" is not preached clearly and carefully in MOST churches and I don't say that to be ugly. Be discerning. Listen carefully and it will shock you how it is not preached. Then you hear people say, "Give your life to Jesus" or "Turn from your sins and follow Jesus." NO, God says "Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and thou shalt be saved." It is what we believe in or trust in to get us to heaven that makes the difference.

The grace of God teaches us

"That denying ungodliness and wordily lusts we who have been saved, born again, should live soberly, righteously and godly in this present world." Make sense? "In the world you shall have tribulation" John 16:33. "Do not be surprised, brethren, if the world hates you" 1 John 3:13.

How can I do it?

"Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing the great God and our Savior Jesus Christ" Titus 2:13. You see, "when He appears, we will be like Him, because we will see Him just as He is" 1 John 3:2. Looking for Jesus to come any minute will keep the fear of God and focus on eternity in your heart that will help you to keep pure.

Study the Word and prophecy

Studying the Word of God and prophecy is so vital to the Christian life. Make sense? "Your word I have treasured in my heart,That I may not sin against You" Ps. 119:11. "You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you" John 15:3.

Prayer:  Father, thank You that Jesus paid it all when He died for our sins and now we are saved by grace through faith in that fact. Help us to live godly for Your glory, in Jesus name

What is God Doing Today

Jesus went up to heaven and "And after He had said these things, He was lifted up while they were looking on, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And as they were gazing intently into the sky while He was going, behold, two men in white clothing stood beside them. They also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who has been taken up from you into heaven, will come in just the same way as you have watched Him go into heaven." Acts 1:9-11.

What is God up to now? The Holy Spirit was coming (Acts 1:8), the age or dispensation of grace or Church age was coming, (The law was given by Moses but grace and truth, came by Jesus Christ.  John 1:17), the church, the body of Christ, was coming as believers were to be baptized by the Holy Spirit into the body of Christ (1 Cor. 12:13). Jesus said, "I will build my church" (Matt. 16:18). That is what He is up to now! How is He going to do it? We are not to just "gaze up into heaven." "The great commission was to "Go," "Preach the gospel to EVERY creature" (person) Mark 16:15. This is how we help build the church. O that we each believed this and we "preach" (Acts 8:35) the gospel to every person we have a moment with them. We could "turn the world upside down" (Acts 17:6) and does it ever need it. If, each of the 50 million "born again" Christians just won one person to Christ this year that ! would do it. Then next year, each of the 100 million won one person to Christ, that would be almost every American. Did you win one last year, during the whole year? Let's do it this year! "The harvest is plenty." Matt 9:37.

Jesus loved the church, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ loved the church and gave Himself up for it" Eph. 5:25. We should love it too. Go to church to focus on God. Go to feed on the Word of God. Go to fellowship with the children of God, sinners who have been saved by the grace of God just like YOU. Go to be fired up to witness and win the lost to Christ. You want someone to witness and win your lost loved ones, then you must be will and obedient to witness to the lost around you . Make sense?

Prayer:  Father, bless your child reading this and may they love Your church and bring others to hear the gospel and go to heaven with them. In Jesus name

O but I love you dear people and want you to reach your maximum potential for God and eternity. All because of Calvary, sumner

Let the Holy Spirit Work in Your Life

A prophecy came true

"Do not let your heart be troubled...I go to prepare a place for you...I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever; that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you." John 14:1, 16, 17. see 1 Cor. 6:19 WOW

Jesus sits at the right hand of His Father, Jesus "finished" what He came to do. He suffered and died for our sins, paid the debt in full, rose again, and went back to heaven and sat down. "When He had made purification of sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high" Heb. 1:3. Why did He sit down? Understand this, He finished what He came to do! \

The Holy Spirit came at Pentecost. Why? Ten days later, at Pentecost, God sent the Holy Spirit, as Jesus prophesied, to take up where He left off. He came to takeover the work of God on earth. Now, EVERY "born again" believer has the Holy Spirit living in him. "If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him" Rom. 8:9. O dear people this is one of the most important prophecies for us to understand and take hold of in our lives. Tragically, most believers are ignorant of or ignore the Holy Spirit and are missing the "fruit of the Spirit" Gal. 5:22 and "the power" of the Holy Spirit in their lives Acts 1:8.

The power of God for you

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be My witnesses" Acts 1:8. The Holy Spirit gives us power to worship, work and witness for Christ. No excuse for us not do all three! The sad truth is most Christians still ask the Lord Jesus to do what God sent the Holy Spirit to do.

One example

We sing and say, "Just when I need Him most, Jesus is near to comfort and cheer." NO, He is sitting in heaven making intercession for us but the Holy Spirit is now our comforter and joy giver, Gal. 5:22. Most lack both because they are not "filled" (controlled) or "walking in the Spirit."

The dispensation of grace

Today, this church age, the age of grace, the Holy Spirit is the primary one of the Godhead at work on earth. The lost, the unbelievers, need to know what the Lord Jesus came to do, die for their sins to be their savior, and believe on the Lord Jesus and receive Him as their personal Savior. Believers must get to know what the Holy Spirit came to do and let Him do it in their lives. Let this soak in. Apply it! This is only the beginning of fantastic discoveries or prophecies. Stay with us. Get others in on it.

Prayer:  Father, bless Your dear people and may we all see a demonstration of the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives and the lives of our churches. In Jesus name
