God is satisfied, all our sins are paid in full

Propitiation over the Ark

          God tells about the Mercy Seat in Exodus 25:17-22. A slab of pure gold, the same length and width as the Ark, was the Ark's cover. Made from the same piece of gold and fashioned at the ends of the Mercy Seat were the cherubim.

God said that between these two  cherubim and above the Mercy Seat is where He would meet and commune with Israel.

          The word for Mercy Seat is the same word translated "propitiation," which means to placate, appease, or make satisfaction. The work of Jesus Christ is seen as the fulfillment of the Mercy Seat;

          "My little children these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world" (1 Jn 2:1-2)

          Now, God is HOLY. The seraphim cry, "Holy, Holy, Holy, is the Lord of hosts" (Is. 6:3). Any sin is a heinous offense to God's holiness. Divine justice demands that sin be fully punished, for in no way can an infinite and holy God be generous or lenient toward man in forgiving his sins. The righteous demands of God's Law must be fully met before God can have anything to do with sinful man. However, God's matchless love has provided the one and only way that God can remain just and yet justify the sinner and that is at the Mercy Seat. Christ has satisfied God's every demand for righteousness and the righteous settlement of man's sins. "Christ has once suffered for sins" 1 Peter 3:18. He died for our sins, paid our debt in full, was buried, rose again and was seen by hundreds 1 Cor 15:1-4. He shed His blood to wash away our sins. Christ is the propitiation for our sins. 1 Jn 2:1,2. YOU are loved by god and me, ABC Sumner

Prov.14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

WHAT AN IDEA. "Your ticket to Heaven" is being translated into 12 languages. Six have found Christian printers who will print it for them, some free and some very reasonable. We have found it wont work trying to print them here and ship them to you.

May you see the hand of God upon you Ezra 6-8 and the power of God flow through you Jn 7:38,39 and the glory of God in you 2 Cor 3:18.

Take a few seconds and pray for Darlean. Her husband was on my staff at Liberty U. He just went home to heaven. "Do unto others as you would have them do to you"
