The Veil that hid the glory of God.

The Description of the Veil

The description of the veil is in Exodus 26:31: "And thou shalt make a veil of blue, and purple, and scarlet, and fine twined linen of cunning work: with cherubim shall it be made." Immediately one can see it is the same as the outer court gate (27:16). That gate was a picture of Christ, the blue represented Him in His heavenly character as the Son of God come down from heaven; the purple, the color of royalty, depicted the Lord Jesus as the King of the Jews who one day will be recognized as King of Kings and Lord of lords; the scarlet portrayed Him as the Lamb of God who shed His blood for our sins; and the fine linen of His righteousness

Hebrews 10:19-20 says something particular about this veil; "Having therefore, brethren, boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way, which he hath consecrated for us, through the veil, that is to say, his flesh." This veil was a picture of Jesus in His flesh; all this was true of Him from the day He was born--when "God sent forth His Son, made of a woman" (Gal. 4:4).

We have boldness now to enter into the presence of God, into heaven itself, through the veil, that is, through Christ and what He did in the flesh, when He suffered and died for our sins, was buried, rose again and was seen by hundreds. Jesus said, "I am the way" and "no man cometh unto the Father, but by me" (Jn. 14:6). We go into His presence in prayer now and will go into His presence in person when anyone goes to Him in death or when He comes for us in the clouds! WOW What a future we have.

Prov 3:16 Length of days is in her (wisdom) right hand; and in  her left hand riches and honor. (No wonder we must seek wisdom DAILY)
