Why did God Choose Israel

How odd of God to choose the Jews, see why

"Give no offense either to Jews or to Greeks or to the church of God" 1 Cor. 10:32.

Three groups of people

The Jews, Gentiles and Church of God are three distinct groups of people and it is vital that we keep this in mind as we read, study and understand the Bible. The Jews, the descendants of Abraham are God's chosen people, see Gen. 12. Most of the Old Testament is about the Jews, Israel, and all others as they related to Israel.

The early church were mostly Jews! "Now there were Jewish people living in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation under heaven" Acts 2:5.  Peter addressed them in his sermon at Pentecost, "But Peter, said unto them, "Men of Judea and all you that live in Jerusalem" Acts 2:14. "Therefore let all the house of Israel know for certain that God has made Him both Lord and Christ--this Jesus whom you crucified" Acts 2:36. "So then, those who had received his word were baptized; and that day there were added about three thousand souls" Acts 2:41.

To the Jew first

"For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek" Rom. 1:16. Thank God, there has been a multitude of Jews who have been won to Christ. And do you know what? Prophecy tells us one day, "all Israel shall be saved" Rom. 11:26. I don't want you to be ignorant of this nor to ignore this. We shall explain all of this as we study prophecy more. Stay with us.

They who love Israel shall prosper "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May they prosper who love you" Ps. 122:6. The news is full of talk about peace between Israel and the Palestinians and all Arabs. This is very significant and an important part of prophecy. Wait until we get into that. In the meantime, YOU and I would be wise and prosper to do what God said, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem." I pray that EVERY DAY and have for years, just like God told us to do. Do it, dear people. So many of your have told me you are praying for my wife! WOW, does that ever thrill me! Thrill God! Pray for Israel. Much more on Israel to come.

Pray for Israel to be saved

"Brethren, my heart's desire and my prayer to God for them is for their salvation" Rom. 10:1. We would all be wise to pray that. Make sense?

Prayer:  Father, You are so wonderful to let Your son Jesus, a Jew, die for our sins, pay our debt in full and rise again. Help us Christians to love Your people Israel, and pray for them, for our good and Your glory. In Jesus name.

O dear people, I love Jesus, I love Israel and I love you, ABC, sumner
